MSD Animal Health launches Panacur AquaSol wormer for pigs

18th May 2012

MSD Animal Health has announced the launch of Panacur AquaSol, a new water-administered wormer for pigs that offers various benefits.

Introduced at this year's Pig and Poultry Fair, the superfine fenbendazole powder treatment is an evolution of the proven Panacur wormer range and offers superior suspension properties compared to alternatives.

Thanks to its unique wet-milling process, it can be mixed easily with water and stay in suspension for a minimum of 24 hours, making it easy to apply and allowing it to be pumped through a dosing machine without fear of settling.

Panacur AquaSol is effective against a range of intestinal worms, including the larval stages of Ascaris suum.

Ricardo Neto, technical manager for MSD Animal Health's pig business unit, said Panacur AquaSol has "unique properties that can eliminate settling out and sedimentation for at least 24 hours, problems that have previously put many producers off using wormers administered in the drinking water".

Last month, the company announced the European launch of Activyl and Activyl Tick Plus, antiparasitic agents for the prevention of fleas and ticks.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801366681-ADNFCR
