MWW announces takeover of Ideation

28th October 2014

MWW has announced that it will be acquiring Ideation, a software and product development company serving clients such as Twitter, Pet360 and Entertainment Weekly.

Ideation's team of three full-time staffers will join MWW's New York office, with founder Robert Dilio acting as the agency's chief technology officer, a newly-created role.  He will work with MWW's social media, analytics and creative teams to expand the firm's technology and digital offerings, reports PRWeek.

The company also employs ten part-time consultants, with MWW now considering bringing some of them over to the agency.

MWW and Ideation have been discussing the details of this transaction for around a year, but made the news official last week. The addition of Ideation's technology will aid its transition into a full-service digital agency.

Michael Kempner, MWW's president and chief executive officer, said the merger will allow the company to "offer unique campaigns using real-time data and behavior analytics and to continue to create industry-leading intellectual property".

The agency has contracts with some of the world's biggest brands, including Samsung, Nikon, Netflix, McDonald's, Reckitt Benckiser, Deloitte and many more.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801756881-ADNFCR
