Nalco launches new 3D Trasar technology for membranes

8th September 2011

Nalco has announced the launch of its new 3D Trasar Technology for Membranes, an innovative product that aims to reduce the environmental footprint of reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

This new offering utilises a combination of Trasar technology for accurate feeding and dosing and membrane system performance monitoring, plus oversight and troubleshooting advice via Nalco 360 Service Expert Center professionals.

Other attributes of the system include proprietary green antiscalants to improve membrane life, reduce environmental impact and ensure the minimisation of harmful residues in water.

RO membranes are utilised in water purification procedures across a variety of industries, including manufacturing and scientific applications.

Erik Fyrwald, Nalco's chairman and chief executive officer, said: "3D Trasar Technology for Membranes improves the operation of RO systems and yields a variety of sustainability benefits for our customers."

Last month, the company announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2011, during which it produced a record-breaking sales figure of $1.2 billion (749.2 million pounds).ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800723143-ADNFCR
