Nestle appoints new chief financial officer and operations head
Nestle has announced a number of new leadership appointments to accommodate recent staff relocations and departures.
Francois-Xavier Roger has been appointed as the company's new executive vice-president and chief financial officer (CFO), effective as of July 1st 2015. He joins the firm from Takeda, where he also served as CFO.
He succeeds former Nestle CFO Wan Ling Martello, who has taken up new responsibilities as executive vice-president and head of the company's operations in Asia, Oceania and Africa.
Meanwhile, Jose Lopez, the organisation's executive vice-president in charge of operations, will be retiring from Nestle at the end of September 2015, ending a 36-year association with the firm.
He will be succeeded by Magdi Batato, who is being promoted from his current role as market head for Pakistan.
Paul Bulcke, chief executive officer of Nestle, hailed Mr Roger's "extensive insight, knowledge and experience in different geographies and industries", as well as the "wide-ranging technical skills and business experience" of Mr Batato.
