New chairs elected to Young Dentists Committee
The UK's Young Dentists Committee has elected a new chair, Harman Chahal, as well as two new vice-chairs, Ursala Jogezai and Sami Stagnall.
At its April 10th meeting, it was also announced that Kevin Opoku-Dapaah would take the position of executive on the Young Dentists Committee panel.
Mr Chahal said he was "honoured" to be elected to his new role, as he is the first individual to ever be voted into the position.
He added that we was looking forward to addressing some of the most prevalent issues currently affecting young dental professionals.
"Times are getting ever tougher for young dentists, from the challenges of finding your first job through to trying to buy your own practice, all in an increasingly turbulent economic environment."
The meeting last week also involved presentations from young dentists Reena Walda, as well as Mick Armstrong of the British Dental Association's committee. Ms Walda spoke on the topic of how to engage with the dental community via social media.
