New tech PR agency Missive launched by industry veterans
Missive, a new technology-focused PR agency, has been launched in the UK by a pair of experienced comms professionals.
Emma Hart, O2's head of PR, has allied with Hotwire's former tech practice and financial services lead Nicola Koronka to set up the agency, with the duo having previously worked together at Hotwire almost a decade ago.
Missive's initial client roster includes O2 and Silicon Valley-based Trunomi. The new company is also in the process of establishing a partnership with a US PR agency to improve penetration into the North American market.
The agency will benefit from the extensive tech PR industry experience of its founders, both of whom have served in a variety of agency and in-house roles over the course of their careers.
Ms Hart said: "The UK is home to an increasingly vibrant technology industry and we feel excited by the opportunity this presents to both Missive and our prospective clients."
Following this announcement, Nicola Green, director of comms and reputation at O2's parent company Telefonica UK, confirmed to PRWeek that Sally Beamand will take over Ms Hart's vacated role as head of PR.
