New tPEMF device released in the UK for use in cats and dogs

Incubate Animal Health are now distributing Assisi Loops (therapy for non-invasive treatment of pain and swelling) and Loop Lounges (rechargeable therapy beds) to the UK. This follows their popularity over in the United States, Canada and Australia.

tPEMF (targeted pulsed electromagnetic field therapy) is already used extensively in treatment of humans, and devices using this technology are being introduced to the UK market because they have the potential to add value to combination procedures for cats and dogs that experience joint stiffness.

The operation of the Assisi Loop is dependent on producing field made by accelerating electric charges. This creates a transient plasma membrane depolarisation and ‘calcium-induced calcium release’ where the anti-inflammatory system in the body is triggered.

The new device is transportable, meaning people can use it from their homes as well as in vet clinics.
