Nikon announces agreement to distribute scanning electron microscope

3rd December 2008

Nikon Instruments Europe has been appointed by JEOL as the official distributor of the NeoScope benchtop scanning electron microscope (SEM) on the continent, the company has announced.

The agreement was welcomed by Nikon Instruments’ industrial sales manager Bill Clement, who described the Neoscope as "a fresh new approach" which was both powerful and affordable.

"By offering the NeoScope together with Nikon’s microscopes and digital cameras, we are able to offer a comprehensive range of imaging and inspection solutions from nano- to micro- to macro-features," he stated.

The NeoScope SEM can be used to speed up research in various fields and can be used in areas such as pathology, bioscience research, forensics, sampling inspection, materials research, failure analysis of manufacturing materials and in environmental and metallurgical laboratories, Nikon said.
