Nobel Biocare highlights further progress in first half of 2012

23rd August 2012

Nobel Biocare has published its interim report for the first half of 2012, during which it generated a six-month revenue total of 296.5 million euros (234.92 million pounds).

This represented a 3.5 percent year-on-year increase compared to the first half of 2011, which was in line with the overall market, while its earnings margin rose slightly to 14.3 percent.

Nobel Biocare attributed this improvement to disciplined cost management and favourable currency impact, while implant system sales were able to modestly outpace market trends.

According to chief executive officer Richard Laube, the company is now in a more competitive position than it has been in for years and continues to introduce new initiatives to help maintain momentum.

He added: "In the first half of 2012 we made notable progress in a very challenging market environment. Given the current circumstances, I am pleased with the teams' progress and performance."

This comes after Oliver Walker was appointed chief financial officer of Nobel Biocare, replacing the departed Dirk Kirsten.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801435394-ADNFCR
