Nobel Biocare maintains recent growth in Q3 2013
Nobel Biocare has maintained its recent positive business momentum in the third quarter of 2013.
The company's financial report for the three-month period showed a revenue total of 127.9 million euros (106.78 million pounds), representing a 4.8 percent increase at constant exchange rates, although a decline of 2.4 percent was recorded in euro terms.
Implant systems growth saw a further acceleration, while its recent investments in research and development are yielding results with the launch of new products improving treatment workflow and outcome, as well as customer productivity.
Many of these were showcased at the European Association of Osseointegration annual meeting in Dublin last month, such as the NobelProcera 2G System and 3Shape Dental System.
The firm will continue to execute its current strategy of investing in innovation, providing training opportunities and improving its operational efficiency.
Richard Laube, chief executive officer of Nobel Biocare, said: "While we are satisfied with the progress in the third quarter, there is still scope for improvement in many areas of the business and we are still far from reaching our potential."
