Nobel Biocare names new chief executive officer
Nobel Biocare has selected Richard Laube to become its new chief executive officer (CEO) on May 1st 2011.
The dental supplies manufacturer has appointed Mr Laube as the successor to Domenico Scala, who has informed the board of directors that he will be leaving the company on April 30th.
Mr Laube will join Nobel Biocare at the beginning of April following a successful career that has seen him play key roles in transforming Roche's consumer healthcare business and revitalising Nestle's nutrition division.
He will be assisted in the transition to the CEO role by Mr Scala, who introduce Mr Laube to various topics during April and will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until the end of October this year.
Heino von Prondzynski, chairman of the board of directors at Nobel Biocare, said: "In Richard Laube, we have a successor who comes with the right qualifications to continue developing the company, especially regarding innovation and global strategy implementation."
This week also saw Nobel Biocare publish its financial results for 2010, reporting annual revenue of 576.6 million euros (485.24 million pounds).
