Nobel Biocare reports good progress in Q1 2014
Nobel Biocare has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2014, during which it maintained its recent positive business performance.
The firm's revenue total for the three months came to 138.8 million euros (113.92 million pounds), representing a 2.8 percent year-on-year increase at constant exchange rates. Its implant systems and individualised divisions both contributed to this growth.
An improved performance was recorded across all regions, despite the bad weather conditions in parts of North America and the unstable political situation in parts of eastern Europe. The company's efficiency programmes also continued to bear fruit.
For the full year 2014, Nobel Biocare expects revenue to grow around three to four percent on a constant exchange rate basis. This would build encouragingly on the 2.2 percent growth rate achieved during 2013.
Richard Laube, chief executive officer, said: "We remain well on track with our business turnaround, delivering our fourth consecutive quarter of revenue growth at constant exchange rates, in what is still a difficult market environment."
