Nobel BioCare reports ‘progress on track’
Nobel BioCare has published its financial results for the first half of the 2008 fiscal year.
The company said its progress is on track and has consequently re-confirmed its guidance for the full year.
Revenue for the half was flat at 323.8 million euros (255.1 million pounds), with a leading gross profit margin of 83 per cent.
Profit from operations was recorded at 92.7 million euros, with a reported margin of 28.6 per cent.
Domenico Scala, chief executive officer of the company, said: “Revenues in the second quarter were as previously indicated and have compensated for the significant sales impact from the 2007 World Conference.”
He added the company was seeing encouraging signs its initiatives are beginning to pay off despite the flat growth recorded for the period.
In May 2008, the dental supplier announced the launch of the new NobelActive dental implant with an advanced design.
