Norbrook introduces 200ml oral suspension for dogs with arthritis

Norbrook Laboratories has announced the launch of a new oral suspension for dogs with arthritis.

Part of the Loxicom family of medicines, which include oral and injectable treatments for the joint disorder in dogs and cats, the new product comes in a 200ml size.

According to Norbrook, the larger bottle will allow vets to be more efficient with stock space and save animal owners having to make so many repeat purchases.

The Loxicom range also includes two sizes of cat oral suspension for arthritis, a lower-concentration oral suspension for dogs, chewable tablets, a large animal injectable and an oral paste for horses.

Rebekah Dudek, veterinary advisor for Norbrook, commented: "With winter upon us, the colder weather can cause symptoms of arthritis to worsen."

Adding that over one fifth (20 per cent) of dogs are affected by the condition, she described the 200ml bottle as "a cost-effective solution for long-term treatment".
