Norbrook Laboratories to support Bornean Orangutan Survival Foundation

19th December 2017

Norbrook Laboratories has announced that it will be providing support for a project organised by the Bornean Orangutan Survival Foundation.

The company will be donating a range of products that will be prescribed by vets to medically treat the critically endangered orangutan population in Borneo, aiding an on-the-ground team that rescues animals suffering as a result of deforestation, forest fires and animal trafficking.

British wildlife veterinarian Dr Paul Ramos will lead a team in January 2018 to Kalimantan in Borneo, taking part in a film project that will help to raise awareness of the difficulties these animals face, and discuss how organisations such as Norbrook can help to make a difference.

The Bornean Orangutan Survival Foundation manages 750 orangutans, many of which cannot be released back into the wild, making contributions of key veterinary supplies essential.

Monica Whistler, Norbrook's marketing product manager for large animals, said: "We are really pleased to be able to work with the Bornean Orangutan Survival Foundation and help them in their fight."
