Norbrook wins Queen’s Award for Enterprise

28th April 2011

Norbrook Laboratories has been honoured for its business success in the last year by being presented with a prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise.

The animal health company was recognised for its achievements in international trade after seeing its export sales grow by 15 percent each year since 2007, to the point that they now represent more than 90 percent of its consolidated turnover.

It represents the fourth time that this accolade has been bestowed upon the Northern Ireland-based organisation.

Lord Ballyedmond, chairman and chief executive officer of Norbrook Laboratories, said the firm's growth rate is testament to its research and development investments, high-calibre facilities, global focus and innovative business approach.

He added: "We are delighted to receive the Queen's Award for Enterprise which recognises our focus, expertise and success in doing business on the international stage."

In the last year, the veterinary health company was also able to recruit 300 new staff members, taking its total workforce at its Newry headquarters to around 2,200.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800515251-ADNFCR
