Norgine appoints new head of global marketing

15th November 2012

Norgine has announced the appointment of Karen Hockey as its new global marketing manager.

Ms Hockey has been with the company since 2011 and is being promoted from her previous role of global brand manager, in which she has proven a success so far.

After finishing higher education, she took up a commercial trainee post at GlaxoWellcome, ultimately staying with the GlaxoSmithKline organisation for nine years in sales, marketing and market access roles before taking a career break.

Ken Scrimgeour, Norgine's chief commercial officer, said: "I fully expect Karen to build on her recent success with Norgine's flagship brand Movicol by bringing strong and effective leadership to our global marketing function."

This is one of a number of key appointments made by Norgine in recent months, with Peter Legarth having been named general manager of the firm's Nordic regional commercial unit in August 2012.

Prior to this, the company appointed Stephane Cohen as general manager in France and Dr Michael Jiresch to the corresponding post in Germany back in June.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801488478-ADNFCR
