Norgine outlines new development structure
Norgine has announced changes to the structure of its development department in anticipation of future growth.
The pharmaceutical firm said three therapy area development teams will be created to lead its research and development pipeline activities.
Each team will be headed by a therapy area director and combine "cross-functional expertise" in clinical development, regulatory development and project management.
Norgine has also formed a dedicated preclinical development team to focus on innovative projects and collaborative partnerships, as well as merging the leadership of its medical and regulatory operations.
Chief development officer Stuart Dollow said the alterations "reflect the changes in Norgine's capabilities and requirements for future success".
He added: "Transforming our development capabilities will enable us to continue to grow in a new way in the future."
Last month, Norgine confirmed that it had sold the worldwide rights to three products – Spasmonal, Pyralvex and Waxsol – to Swedish pharmaceutical company Meda.
