Novartis to present new breast cancer data at SABCS 2017

15th November 2017

Novartis has announced that it will be attending this year's San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), where it will be sharing its latest research insights.

Data covering a wide range of breast cancer patient populations, combination treatments and lines of therapy will be shared at SABCS 2017, which will take place in San Antonio from December 5th to 9th.

Results from the phase III MONALEESA-7 trial will be shared, showing how premenopausal women with hormone-receptor positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer can benefit from treatment with ribociclib, also known as Kisqali.

In addition, the company will present data on several other therapies, including Afinitor, Tykerb, alpelisib and LSZ102.

Bruno Strigini, chief executive officer for Novartis Oncology, said: "Our presentations at SABCS will address some of the most pressing challenges and questions facing the advanced breast cancer community, including the need to better understand treatment sequencing and biomarkers."
