Novartis to present new drug data at EULAR and WCD meetings

3rd June 2015

Novartis has announced that it will be attending the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) annual meeting and the World Congress of Dermatology (WCD) this month.

The two events will give the company an opportunity to share its latest research findings in the fields of severe long-term inflammatory and skin conditions, including clinical trial data for a number of new therapies.

During the EULAR meeting in Rome from June 10th to 13th, Novartis will share data from the phase III MEASURE 2 study, which will demonstrate the effectiveness of secukinumab in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis.

Meanwhile, the WCD, taking place from June 8th to 13th in Vancouver, will see the firm present new findings on Cosentyx's performance in difficult-to-treat psoriasis of the palms, soles and nails, and on Xolair in chronic spontaneous urticaria.

In total there will be five oral presentations and 32 posters from Novartis across the two congresses.

Vasant Narasimhan, global head of development at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, said: "Patients with long-term inflammatory joint and skin conditions are too often living with debilitating physical and psychological effects of their disease."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801789780-ADNFCR
