Novo Nordisk and Ypsomed receive EU approval for mylife YpsoPump

Novo Nordisk and Ypsomed have announced that their new mylife YpsoPump insulin pump has been approved by the European Medicines Agency.

Designed for use with the NovoRapid PumpCart prefilled pump cartridge, the device features an icon-based touch screen and is designed to simplify therapy. It is the first prefilled cartridge with an insulin analogue that has been specifically designed for insulin pumps.

This will help to improve the deliverability of the NovoRapid PumpCart, which contains the rapid-acting insulin product NovoRapid. The pump cartridge is also compatible for use with Roche Diabetes Care's Accu-Chek Insight insulin pump.

The approval marks a key milestone in the new partnership between Novo Nordisk and Ypsomed, the goal of which is to deliver innovative care solutions to improve the lives of people with diabetes.
