Novo Nordisk to present at World Federation of Hemophilia World Congress

Novo Nordisk has announced that it will be attending the World Federation of Hemophilia World Congress (WFH 2016) in Orlando from July 24th to 28th.

The company will be sharing data from 28 abstracts at the meeting, demonstrating its latest advances in the field of haemophilia, including new clinical data on established treatments and insights into the psychosocial and functional impact of haemophilia on quality of life.

One study will illustrate how recombinant factor XIII therapy can be safe and effective for prophylaxis in young children with congenital FXIII A-subunit deficiency, while another will highlight turoctocog alfa's performance in the treatment of bleeding episodes in patients with severe haemophilia A.

Other findings will highlight the performance of glycoPEGylated FVIII in previously-treated paediatric patients with severe haemophilia A, with bleeding characteristics of patients with congenital haemophilia and inhibitors also set to be profiled.
