Ogilvy appoints new chief digital officer

16th September 2009

Ogilvy has announced the appointment of a new chief digital officer for Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME).

The group revealed that Patou Nuytemans will take up the post with immediate effect, reporting to the group’s vice-chairman Paul O’Donnell.

She currently holds the title of Ogilvy’s digital director for EAME and has worked at Ogilvy for 13 years in various locations such as London, Paris, New York, Brussels and Cape Town.

Mr O’Donnell said the new chef digital officer will be "a key advisor to a number of clients, the principal architect of our outstanding regional training programmes and […] the person that everyone wants to involve in any significant digital pitch".

This news comes after PR Week reported last week that Matt de Gruchy took up the post of client service director for the UK group after previously occupying the position of managing director of its PR department.
