Ogilvy selected as Philips creative agency partner

28th December 2011

Ogilvy has been chosen as the global lead creative agency for the health and wellbeing company Philips.

The electronics manufacturer has selected the Ogilvy and Mather group as a partner following a four-month global creative review, with the new arrangement set to come into effect from January 1st 2012.

Ogilvy will be tasked with handling strategic and creative marketing communications development across all of Philips' global sectors and businesses, leveraging the strength of its own worldwide media network.

A Philips statement said the decision reflects Ogilvy's "strength in emerging markets, the robustness of its strategic planning process and its fully integrated approach towards digital communications".

This comes after the communications agency's efforts to strengthen its healthcare sector capabilities in recent years, having merged Ogilvy Healthworld and CommonHealth in 2010 to form Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide.

Furthermore, it launched a new consultancy earlier this year called Ogilvy Digital Health, combining the skills of its Ogilvy Healthworld and OgilvyAction divisions.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801250274-ADNFCR
