Omron Healthcare launches new upper arm blood pressure monitors

1st April 2014

Omron Healthcare has announced the availability of a new range of upper arm blood pressure monitors that offer a number of functional benefits.

The new devices will be available from April 2014 and include the revamped Omron M2 system for irregular heartbeat detection. The fully automatic digital device features an easy-to-wrap cuff and a larger display.

Meanwhile, the new M3 is optimised for the easy detection of high blood pressure, displaying an orange light if the patient shows signs of hypertension. It also includes a wide cuff that can be adjusted to suit a variety of arm sizes and an icon that lights up when attached correctly.

Other new innovations from Omron include the M6 Comfort device, which is equipped with a range of useful indicators, including a hypertension alert and an irregular heartbeat detector, plus Intelli Wrap Cuff technology that improves accuracy by reducing the effect of incorrect cuff placement.

To date, the company has sold more than 150 million blood pressure monitors worldwide and has been operating since 1933.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801708901-ADNFCR
