Oral Health Foundation appoints new president

19th December 2017

The Oral Health Foundation has announced the appointment of Professor Liz Kay as its new president for a two-year term.

Professor Kay has considerable dental sector experience and expertise, working to further the knowledge and education of thousands of dental students during her 35 years within the profession.

In her new role, she will combine her presidency with her role as foundation dean of Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth, and will work with the board of trustees to raise awareness of oral health across the UK.

She has been appointed as the successor to Janet Goodwin, who has taken up the role of immediate past president of the foundation and will remain on the board of trustees for two further years.

Dr Nigel Carter, chief executive of the Oral Health Foundation, said: "We have seen amazing growth across many key aspects of the charity, such as supporters, online presence and media exposure and I am confident that we have the right team with a mix of knowledge and expertise to build on this even further."
