Orthofix appoints new member of board of directors

23rd September 2014

Orthofix has announced the appointment of Luke Faulstick as the newest member of its board of directors, coinciding with the departure of Kathleen Regan.

Boasting more than 25 years experience as a manufacturing executive, Mr Faulstick is a recognised expert on lean manufacturing and work culture. He is the current co-owner, president and chief executive officer of Power Partners, while he previously served as chief operating officer of DJO Global.

He is the fifth new director appointed to the board in the past 18 months, with his background in medical device manufacturing and operations being particularly beneficial to Orthofix.

Ron Matricaria, chairman of the board, said: "He has an extensive background in medical device manufacturing and operations that we feel will benefit Orthofix as we continue to improve our processes and infrastructure."

Meanwhile, Ms Regan – who was recently appointed as executive vice-president and chief operating officer of the Commonwealth Fund – will be retiring as a director effective as of November 3rd.

These board-level changes come after the firm appointed Mark Heggestad as its new chief financial officer earlier this year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801750216-ADNFCR
