Owen Mumford appoints new global head of quality

Owen Mumford has announced the appointment of Paula Staples as its new global head of quality.

Ms Staples joins the medical device company after previously serving as regional quality manager for Europe at Abbott and will take charge of monitoring the firm’s quality systems from design through to customer service.

In her new position, she will report directly to Owen Mumford’s managing director Jarl Severn.

Ms Staples expressed confidence that by bringing a “fresh pair of eyes” to her new employer, she can help it to achieve and maintain the highest possible level of quality for its goods and services.

She added that she feels she and the company’s associates “will make Owen Mumford one of the finest British companies to work for and do business with”.

The company has been operating from Oxford since 1952 and has since established offices in international territories such as the US, France and Germany.
