Owen Mumford to sponsor prize at 2015 Oxfordshire Business Awards

Owen Mumford has announced that it will be sponsoring a category at the 2015 Oxfordshire Business Awards, which will take place on June 19th.

The company has chosen to sponsor the 2015 Export Award – to be known as the Owen Mumford Export Award – in order to support the continued growth of the event, which is now in its 21st year.

Its sponsorship of this category reflects its status as an export-focused business, with 85 percent of its products sold internationally. The firm is also a former winner of the event's top prize, the Oxfordshire Business of the Year Award, which it earned in 2013.

Judith Charles, Owen Mumford's sales and marketing director, will be judging the award in question. She will help to narrow down a shortlist of nominated candidates, with the winner to be decided at a final judging meeting on May 6th.

She said: "We are very aware of how prestigious the awards are and the company is proud to be supporting the Oxfordshire business community in this way."

Last month, the company congratulated its apprentice tooling technician Mark Williams after he was honoured as an apprentice of the year finalist at the recent Manufacturer Awards.
