Oxford Immunotec appoints new senior vice-president

Oxford Immunotec has appointed Stephen M Gansler as its new senior vice-president and global head of human resources.

Mr Gansler has more than 25 years of experience in human resource management within the life sciences sector, having most recently held a similar position at Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he worked for over two decades at Johnson & Johnson.

He also has a Bachelor's qualification in Industrial Administration from the General Motors Institute, as well as a Master's of Business Administration and Finance, which he obtained from Seton Hall University, meaning he has a wide range of expertise to bring to his position with Oxford Immunotec.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Gansler stated: "Oxford Immunotec is a fast-growing leader in the field of immunology-based diagnostics and I am excited about the opportunity to play a role in its continued growth and success."

The firm's most advanced products are designed for use in transplant procedures, meaning that Mr Gansler's new job will see him working at the forefront of the medical device market.
