Oxford Instruments acquires VeriCold Technologies GmbH
Oxford Instruments announced yesterday the acquisition of VeriCold Technologies GmbH as part of the company’s strategy to acquire complementary technologies and double its size over the next five years.
The variety of cryogen-free products based around VeriCold’s pulse tube cooler technology will now be available alongside the array of high magnetic field and low-temperature instruments currently available from Oxford Instruments.
VeriCold will remain at its current location in Germany and see expansion in its research and development group in order to meet the growing demand for cryogen-free technologies.
Managing director of Oxford Instruments Dr Jim Hutchins commented: "We are delighted that VeriCold will be joining us and look forward to working with them to deliver an enhanced service to our customers."
Dr Jens Hoehne, director of VeriCold, said that the company was "delighted" by the acquisition and that it would further the business’s development, adding that it would allow the firm to compete in new markets for their products.
Oxford Instruments recently reported the acquisition of Germany-based Worldwide Analytical Systems.
