Oxoid releases new air sampler

5th July 2007

Oxoid has unveiled its new automatic air sampler for use in monitoring air quality in controlled environments.

The device is supplied fully calibrated to recognised standards, Oxoid advises, with further attention required at six to 12-monthly intervals.

Meanwhile, the sample head may be changed or removed for cleaning without the need for recalibration to take place.

Ali Ball, marketing and distributor sales director, said: "The new Oxoid Air Sampler complements the wide range of high quality environmental monitoring products available from Oxoid.

"It is our aim to provide customers with everything that they need to ensure the microbiological quality and safety of their products and services."

The manufacturer suggests the unit may be useful in hospital clean rooms and operating theatres, or in areas where food preparation takes place.

Oxoid is a division of Thermo Fisher Scientific and reveals that its original parent company, the Liebig Extract of Meat Company, created the Oxo cube in the 19th century.ADNFCR-1050-ID-18201732-ADNFCR
