Parexel subsidiary hires lymphoma expert
Parexel has announced that a leading authority on lymphoma has joined the firm’s subsidiary company Perceptive Informatics.
Dr Bruce Cheson will become a member of the medical imaging scientific adviser team at Perceptive, which aims to help clients make informed decisions about the use of medical imaging and associated clinical data.
The current chair of the Lymphoma Committee of the Cancer and Leukemia Group B and AJCC Subcommittee on Lymphoma, Dr Cheson has authored assessment criteria for Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Kenneth Faulkner, vice-president of medial imaging at Perceptive Informatics, said that the firm’s clients will benefit from the expert’s “in-depth, specialised expertise and focus on development and evaluation of new therapeutic approaches”.
Dr Cheson added: “I am pleased to be affiliated with Perceptive Informatics, which is a leader in the successful management of medical imaging in trials.”
A recent Perceptive online seminar covering the assessment criteria for lymphoma was co-hosted by Dr Cheson and Dr Matthew Barish, another scientific adviser to the firm.
Last month, Perceptive agreed a deal to provide its eClinical Suite technology for clinical trials conducted by the international pharmaceutical company Almirall.
