Parexel tops poll for CRO service quality

Parexel has received an endorsement for the quality of its clinical services after topping an independently-compiled industry ranking.

The firm placed highest among large clinical research organisations (CROs) for service quality predictability in the CRO Quality Benchmarking Report, which was published by Industry Standard Research.

Based on the opinions of 169 biopharmaceutical sector outsourcing decision makers from 73 sponsor organisations, Parexel was ranked highest in terms of overall satisfaction, customer loyalty and project team chemistry.

It was also shown that the CRO is the service provider that clients are most likely to recommend or use again.

Josef von Rickenbach, chairman and chief executive officer of Parexel, said: "This verification is testimony to the continual focus of our project leaders and teams to provide excellence in client service and quality."

Last month, it was announced that the company had been chosen to provide clinical development services to leading pharmaceutical firm Pfizer over the next five years.
