Peerius names new PR and comms manager

Peerius has announced the appointment of Lucy Houghton, formerly of Chameleon, as its new PR and comms manager.

Ms Houghton, an experienced PR expert, takes up the newly-created role with a brief of planning and implementing the product recommendations company's online and offline comms strategy, reports Gorkana.

During her time with Chameleon, she worked with a portfolio of clients including CloudApps, Pace and NetSuite, as well as taking the lead on the global rebrand of Siemens Enterprise Communications to Unify last year.

She will be Peerius' only in-house PR and comms specialist and will be tasked with raising awareness of the business and supporting its international expansion plans, cooperating with the sales, marketing and client services teams. After her work is complete, Peerius will hire a PR agency to support the next stage of its comms strategy evolution.

Ms Houghton said: "The senior team is extremely supportive and I am looking forward to bringing my retail expertise and getting stuck into this exciting market."

This comes after Peerius received funding of 1.2 million pounds from Beringea Growth Finance last week to help support its future expansion strategy.
