Pegasus acquired by UDG Healthcare

Pegasus has announced that it has been acquire by UDG Healthcare, a move that will bolster its global growth prospects.

The takeover will see Pegasus join with Ashfield Healthcare Communications, part of UDG Healthcare's Ashfield Commercial and Medical Services division, though it will retain its name, identity and Brighton headquarters.

Pegasus' board will now report into David Moore, director at Ashfield Healthcare Communications. Agency founder Lisa Bradley becomes the new agency chair following the departure of Tim Adams, while Simon Hackett takes over the role of managing director.

Mr Hackett said: "With Ashfield we can see an exciting and strong future, where their reach and our shared values will mean we can compete with the well-established global networks, continue our successful growth and provide a world-class service to our clients."

In the last two years, Pegasus has won more than 30 campaign and workplace awards. It came 28th in the 2016 PRWeek League Tables, making it the second-largest healthcare PR consultancy in the UK and the largest outside of London.
