Pegasus wins brief with Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Pegasus has been selected by Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for a new comms brief pertaining to a forthcoming takeover.
The organisation is progressing with its planned acquisition of Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals, its neighbouring foundation trust, and has tasked Pegasus with handling comms and stakeholder engagement support relating to the move.
Selected from a shortlist of nine agencies following a three-way pitch, Pegasus will work alongside the trust's comms team to explain the acquisition to local and national stakeholders including hospital staff, the local community, clinical commissioning groups and GPs.
Pegasus' staff will report directly to the trust's media and communications manager James Taylor.
Duncan Mackenzie-Reid, director of corporate services at Pegasus, said: "We are proud to be involved in what looks likely to be a truly unique acquisition. In comms terms, we appreciate there are a lot of moving parts that will need some careful management."
This comes after the firm was recently named healthcare consultancy of the year at the 2014 Sabre Awards for the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
