Pentax Medical launches Optivista PK-i7010 Video Processor in Europe

Pentax Medical has announced the European launch of its new Optivista PK-i7010 Video Processor, an innovative tool for endoscopy applications.

The device, which is debuting in the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) markets, combines optical and digital capabilities to facilitate more accurate in vivo diagnosis through improved vessel and mucosal pattern characterisation.

By incorporating digital i-scan surface and tone enhancement capabilities alongside i-scan optical enhancement tools, the new product is able to clearly display surface structures of blood vessels, glandular ducts and mucosal membrane in higher contrasts than white light.

Physicians can switch seamlessly in real-time between the various imaging modes to view multiple aspects of tissue structure, supporting early detection, demarcation and characterisation.

Other key attributes of the device include its touch screen controls, external microphone and its ability to save high-quality video to USB storage devices.
