Pentax Medical receives CE Mark for DEC Duodenoscope

Pentax Medical has announced the European launch of its new DEC Duodenoscope, which features a disposable elevator cap.

The DEC Duodenoscope has received European CE Mark approval and offers a world-first combination of advanced cleaning capabilities for infection prevention, plus high-definition image quality and procedural performance.

Designed for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography procedures, the system also incorporates a unique distal end cap developed in response to a growing need for single-use products in endoscopy to prevent hard-to-treat infections.

Pentax Medical has developed the DEC Duodenoscope to minimise reprocessing time without compromising on the reprocessing outcome, with the increased efficiency delivering time and cost savings.

The company will present the device for the first time during the forthcoming EUS-ENDO congress, which takes place in Marseille on September 28th and 29th.
