PerkinElmer adds LCMS to OneSource

PerkinElmer has added the analysis of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LCMS) processes to its OneSource service, it has emerged.

OneSource allows laboratories to comprehensively assess their operating procedures to ensure they are working at the optimal level, the firm explains.

Now facilities utilising LCMS processes are to be given access to the service in order to increase compliance in highly regulated areas.

Dusty Tenney, president of OneSource, said: "Typically, service providers can conduct only sub-system qualification, which creates a gap in compliance and can impact productivity.

"OneSource meets the customer need of greater uptime and higher data quality across a laboratory’s entire LCMS portfolio."

He added that the service can improve the productivity of "most laboratories" which undergo full analysis.

A further benefit cited by PerkinElmer is the ability of OneSource to assess mixed-component systems such as liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry as parts of a larger whole.
