PerkinElmer and Waters announce chromatography collaboration

PerkinElmer has announced a new collaboration with Waters that will bring together the companies' respective technology in the field of chromatography.

The alliance will see PerkinElmer's liquid chromatography and gas chromatography portfolio standardised to offer Waters' Empower Software, a chromatography data software system that manages multi-vendor data and simplifies data collection, processing and reporting.

This standardisation will help PerkinElmer's customers to simplify workflows by unifying their chromatography data on to one platform, thus ensuring delivering confidence in their analysis and results.

It is expected that the collaboration will also result in new product launches aimed at clients in the environmental, industrial and applied markets.

This comes after PerkinElmer was recently named company of the year for 2014 by the Instrument Business Outlook newsletter, based on its recent corporate achievements.
