PerkinElmer announces new appointment

PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences has announced the appointment of its new vice-president and general manager of the drug discovery and research reagents sector.

Martina Bielefeld-Sevigny will take on the position following her role as director of PerkinElmer Bio-discovery’s reagent sector Molecular Pharmacology.

Dr Bielefeld-Sevigny has more than 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry plus a background spanning commercial and technical fields, according to the company.

She will now take on the responsibility of driving the expansion portfolio for PerkinElmer’s Bio-discovery business, a role to which she is suited, the business’s president Richard Eglen said.

He commented: "We are confident that her commitment to developing and leading high performance initiatives will help to grow PerkinElmer’s role as an industry leader in providing integrated solutions to meet emerging customer needs."
