PerkinElmer confirms latest directorial board appointment

PerkinElmer has announced the election of veteran executive and finance expert Samuel Chapin to the company's board of directors.

Mr Chapin most recently served as executive vice-chairman of global corporate and investment banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, a role he held from 2010 until his retirement on June 30th 2016.

In this position, he was responsible for managing relationships with the firm's largest clients. His association with Merrill Lynch stretches back to 1984, during which time he has worked on a wide range of financings and strategic advisory assignments totalling more than half a trillion dollars.

These achievements have seen Mr Chapin named as investment banker of the year by Investment Dealers' Digest. He currently serves on the board of trustees at Lafayette College and is a director for the Wharton Financial Advisory Board and the Roundabout Theatre Company.
