PerkinElmer declares quarterly dividend

PerkinElmer’s board of directors has declared its regular quarterly dividend.

In a meeting held yesterday (January 28th), the board declared a figure of $0.07 (0.045 pounds) per share of common stock.

All shareholders on record at the close of business on April 17th will be paid the dividend on May 9th, the company explained in a statement.

PerkinElmer currently employs 9,100 people across 150 countries, people looking for science sales jobs may be interested to know. In 2007 it reported revenue of $1.8 billion (1.27 billion pounds) and describes itself as "a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment".

Earlier this week, the company announced the launch of a new range of multi-label plate readers called EnSpire. The platform was designed to provide researchers access to cellular GPCR and kinase assays, such as Alpha technologies.

The readers are available in three formats – EnSpire, EnSpire AlphaPLUS and EnSpire Alpha.
