PerkinElmer launches Supra-Clean and Supra-Poly SPE solutions

PerkinElmer has announced the launch of two new solid phase extraction (SPE) product lines for use in sample preparation.

The Supra-Clean and Supra-Poly SPE solutions utilise Precise Bed Technology and spherical media to allow samples to be reproducibly created in consistent quantities both quickly and accurately.

Consistent sample preparation performance is offered on a column-to-column and batch-to-batch basis, with bed volume precision levels that are significantly improved from the industry average.

The products are being released this month and will offer multiple potential applications within the pharmaceutical, environmental and food sectors.

Jonathan Dilley, vice-president of aftermarket solutions at PerkinElmer's analytical sciences and laboratory services division, said: "Our first-generation SPE products will meet our customers' challenges, as they are precisely manufactured to yield uniform performance in a fraction of the time compared to other leading sample preparation techniques."

Last week, the company expanded its global capabilities though the purchase of UK company Dexela Limited, a provider of X-ray detector technology for the healthcare sector.
