PerkinElmer launches Universal Operational Qualification compliance service

PerkinElmer has announced the launch of its new Universal Operational Qualification (UOQ) offering for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and regulated laboratory sectors.

The new compliance service is part of the company's OneSource Laboratory Service portfolio and provides an efficient, automated instrumentation qualification programme for life science laboratories.

It is designed to ensure that lab instruments provide accurate results and remain operational for as long as possible, while also aiding operational efficiency and streamlining regulatory compliance processes.

This initial version of UOQ will support high performance liquid chromatography instrumentation, while gas chromatography compatibility will also be added before the end of 2011.

Earlier this month, it was announced that the company will be acquiring Caliper Life Sciences, a provider of imaging and detection solutions for laboratories.
