PerkinElmer named company of the year by industry publication

PerkinElmer has been recognised as company of the year by Instrument Business Outlook, a newsletter published by the industry analyst firm Strategic Directions International.

The organisation was handed this accolade based on its pioneering status in the sector, earning praise for its technological innovations, plus its recent strong financial performance, market leadership and sound strategic investments.

Its achievements in the diagnostics, food testing, and environmental analysis markets were all acknowledged, as well as its successful acquisitions of the Perten Instruments Group and Ceiba Solutions.

Key PerkinElmer product launches during 2014 included the Lamina multilabel slide scanner, the Opera Phenix confocal high content screening system, the Solaris quantitative optical molecular imaging system and the LabChip GX Touch and LabChip GXII Touch automated electrophoresis systems.
