PerkinElmer reports strong business performance in 2015

PerkinElmer has announced its financial results for 2015, during which it delivered a full-year revenue total of $2.26 billion (1.57 billion pounds).

This represented a constant currency-adjusted growth rate of seven percent, or four percent in organic terms. Strong progress was achieved despite approximately $142 million of foreign currency headwinds.

In the fourth quarter of the year, it achieved a revenue increase of $608.1 million, up by five percent on Q4 2014 on a constant currency-adjusted basis. Its environmental health division saw stronger growth than its larger human health unit.

For the 2016 full-year period, the company has predicted that its GAAP earnings per share from continuing operations will be somewhere in the range of $2.21 to $2.31.
