PerkinElmer sees improved performance in Q2 2014

6th August 2014

PerkinElmer has announced strong financial results for the second quarter of 2014, allowing the company to reconfirm its targets for the full year.

During the three months, the firm generated revenues of $556.2 million (330.37 million pounds), up by three percent year on year, with earnings, income and profit levels also rising.

Its human health and environmental health divisions both saw improvements, while the organisation's commitment to product development and portfolio expansion will allow a number of product launches to take place in the second half of the year.

As such, PerkinElmer forecasts an organic revenue increase in the mid-single digit range relative to 2013 for the full year.

Robert Friel, chairman and chief executive officer of PerkinElmer, said: "I am pleased with our progress at this point in the year, as evidenced by our strong first-half financial performance and our continued success in building a more effective organisation."

This comes after the firm recently declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.07 per share of common stock, payable on November 7th 2014.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801740409-ADNFCR
