PerkinElmer set for UBS Global Life Sciences Conference

PerkinElmer is to present at the upcoming UBS Global Life Sciences Conference in New York, it has been announced.

The company’s president and chief executive officer, Robert Friel, will give delegates at the Grand Hyatt Hotel an overview of the business before outlining its strategy and forecasts for growth.

A live audio webcast of the presentation will be available through the PerkinElmer website, with a replay of the event available for two weeks thereafter.

The UBS Global Life Science Conference is one of the biggest annual healthcare investor events in the world. In the past, it has featured presentations from 340 public and private sector organisations involved in sectors such as biotechnology, medical device manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.

Past attendances have topped 3,500 visitors.

PerkinElmer is a technology developer working in the health services and photonics markets. The firm employs some 9,100 people with operations in 150 countries.

In 2007, the company reported revenues of $1.8 billion (£1 billion).
